Mountain biking at Amelia Earhart Park is awesome! Some of the trails there are sick. They've got everything from easy rides for beginners to gnarly, technical stuff that'll challenge even the most hardcore bikers. You're riding through these cool woods, sometimes popping out into these chill open areas, and there's even parts where you can catch views of the lake. It's like a rollercoaster of dirt and adrenaline, all surrounded by this lush green scenery. Plus, they've got all the gear you need if you're not lugging your bike around, and spots to fix up any issues if you hit a snag. Whether you're with your crew or just shredding solo, Amelia Earhart Park is the spot to be if you're into biking and want a rad time outdoors. Well, on one of my mountain-biking excursions last week, I tried a couple of blue (intermediate) trails for the first time: the Gold Mines and the Paintball Loop. I'm 61 years old and I only started mountain biking a couple of months ago, so I've always tried only novice trails. My adrenaline asked me to try these trails this time. But I made a couple of mistakes: I tried them when I was already tired. The first attempt at Gold Mines was not as good as I wanted to, so I tried it a second time after a long ride on the green trails. But I managed to beat the tall incline without any issues. The problem came when I tried the first incline at the Paintball Loop. I couldn't reach the top and I fell down on my side. I didn't get hurt, but the fall was ugly.
