Gaiwan - A versatile teaware to step-up your tea experience. Tasting dancong oolong and green tea.

How to use a gaiwan (蓋碗) or lidded bowl for tea brewing from a tea enthusiast. I'm not a tea master, but I wanted to do a different kind of video after recently adding to my gaiwan collection. Gaiwans have been used for centuries for brewing or drinking tea. It's a very versatile piece of teaware. They come in a range of styles and sizes, you can get very inexpensive ones or handmade one of kind pieces. In this video I wanted to highlight the use of a gaiwan when drinking tea. I also wanted to share some new teas I recently bought: Ginger Flower Dancong Oolong tea from Pekoe and Imp (https://www.pekoeandimp.com/) Longjing Dragonwell Green Tea from a new local tea supplier Harvest Qi teas (harvestqitea.ca). I also brewed some Buddha's Hand oolong, strip style tea that I had purchased from my favourite Taiwanese tea shop in Toronto, Cha Gloriette. Thanks for watching!
