Trek’s New Madone Is SO CONFUSING

The Trek Madone has long been the American brands aero road race bike. However, last year, it saw an update which blended it with the brands climbing bike, the Emonda. This resulted in the Madone becoming a 'do-it-all' road bike. One which balances aero and performance uphill. However, Trek has just launched a new build specification named the Trek Madone SLR 9 AXS x1 Gen 8 and it has left me feeling pretty stumped. From my perspective, it's really unclear what this bike is for. It's broken the UCI weight limit and comes in at a claimed 6.4 kilos, but still retains lots of aero features.
