One of the most glaring differences is how they handle bail/bond/detention for a criminal defendant while a case is pending. Yesterday (9/17/2004) a federal magistrate judge ordered that Sean Combs, a.k.a. Diddy, a.k.a. Puff Daddy must remain in jail until his trial. But why? What caused this decision?
