Ohori park is another place of absolute beauty. This was an exquisite park to walk through and we felt so fortunate that our budget hotel was so close by. We spent the morning here before leaving for Kumamoto and Misumi. although we were too late for the cherry blossoms in Japan (although we did see a couple trees still in flower), the rhododendrons and azaleas were in full bloom and abundantly overflowing with blooms. One of the most amazing things in the park was the "Pond of Cloud" in the Japanese Garden. It is spectacular - another "not-to-be-missed" experience. The pond filled with clouds and completely enveloped us. It was amazing.
