It was then known as Akbarabad and remained the capital of the Mughal Empire under emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Agra's importance as a political center ended with Shah Jahan shifting the capital to Delhi, but its architectural wealth has earned it a place on the international map. Taj Mahotsav, one of the most eagerly awaited festivals, is celebrated from 18 February to 02 March 2025 at Shilpgram near the eastern gate of the "Taj Mahal". This 13-day long carnival is indeed a lively platform that gives you an insight into India where you can find India's rich art, craft, culture, food, dance and music. Taj Mahal is the most beautiful historical place in India that tells about the incredible India. The Taj Mahotsav is organised by the Taj Mahotsav Committee, headed by the Commissioner, Agra Division Agra I visit to Agra for the first time to see the Taj Mahotsav. I had a lot of fun. The art here impressed me a lot and the Mughlai food here was amazing. I never thought that Lucknow food would be available in Agra. I liked all the food of Wahid Biryani and Wahid Caterers very much, especially the sweet kheer prepared at the end was amazing.
