Note: This is the camhack version of the Sonic the Hackable TAS! This means the camera will always follow Sonic if he is off-screen. Sonic is also always shown whenever he is inside a wall. This is a tool-assisted speedrun (TAS). For more information, visit http://tasvideos.org/ Sonic the Hackable is an unfinished hack of the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis by CHRdutch, released for the 2019 Sonic Hacking Contest on December 3, 2019. The hack introduces the air dash, which is useful for gaining speed but can lead to glitches if used constantly. The player goes through the first three zones: Green Hill Zone, Marble Zone, and Spring Yard Zone (with the last Act being Vibe Check), each of them having modified level layouts and gimmicks, different palettes, and music from Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Sonic Rush, and more. In this TAS, I play through Labyrinth Zone, Star Light Zone, Scrap Brain Zone, and Final Zone. These levels are unmodified, however, and by using the air dash to launch Sonic to the very left of the level (and before the camera catches up to him), he can warp to the very end of an Act.
