USA Stars won this year's NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday (February 15), while Anthony Edwards was named Most Valuable Player. The exhibition game features a mix of league players who are voted for by fans and then split into three teams. USA Stripes was made up of older NBA superstars like LeBron James, USA Stars featured younger players such as Edwards and then Team World was made up of international players. While having 3 teams isn't new, there were format changes this year and a drive to showcase global talent. Israeli player Deni Avdija who plays for the Portland Trail Blazers described the event as "hectic, but fun". "I hope I can be here for many years to come," he said. Game one saw USA Stars beat World, game two the USA Stripes beat the USA Stars, game three the USA Stripes beat World, leaving the two USA teams to battle it out in the final championship game, where the USA Stars scored 47 and the Stripes 21. The event drew a big crowd with the front row including former US President Barack Obama and Britain's Prince Harry and his wife, actor and TV personality Meghan Markle. What was the 75th NBA All-Star Game also featured performances from talent such as Brandy and Sarah Mclachlan.
