The Evangelical Lutheran Seminary in Waterloo, which was the first part of what is now Wilfrid Laurier University, was started in 1911. The university used to be called Waterloo Lutheran, but in 1973, it changed its name to Wilfrid Laurier University to honor Canada’s seventh prime minister. The business school at the university has been approved by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Also, its social work programs have been approved by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE). The main campuses of the university are in Brantford and Waterloo, but there are also smaller campuses in Kitchener and Toronto. The arts, sciences, graduate studies, and education faculties, as well as the university’s main and largest campus, Waterloo, are all home to the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. On the Brantford Campus, you can find the liberal arts and humanities departments. The Lyle S. Hallman Faculty of Social Work is located on the Kitchener campus. The Toronto location is on the ground floor of Exchange Tower at the corner of King and York Streets. It has a weekend MBA program and a flexible event space that can be used for a wide range of gatherings. This school offers more than a hundred different majors, such as accounting, anthropology, applied sciences, archaeology, social science, sciences, business, computer science, arts, economics, communication, journalism, law, philosophy, mathematics, political science, social work, psychology, and so on.
