How to make a skylight from a double glazed window unit with Durafix Easyweld Aluminium rods

Looking at skylights for the garage and they're really expensive. I have a few double glazed windows laying around and I thought i'd have a go at 'welding' up some frames using Durafix Easyweld aluminium rods. It's more like soldering than welding really and the rods contain flux. You'll see the mistakes I make on the video so hopefully as a novice you can enter your own project with a bit more confidence. I've seen a few videos on the Durafix products, like fixing holes in coke cans and stuff, I wanted to check it out first hand and see if it could be an alternative to TIG welding aluminium. I only have a mig so this wasn't an option currently. Any tips or suggestions please comment below, thanks for watching.
