This "Quad-Pump" setup will definitely produce more delicious tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, squash, or multiple greens and root vegetables, than those small 5 gallon buckets that you see so often promoted on youtube videos. *In this video, I show you how to easily & inexpensively set up a "direct-solar" intermittent-DWC style 4 bin system to oxygenation loads of smaller (or a few larger) hydroponic plants. The bins are large 27 gallon totes which hold a lot of water. The pumps are very small, low cost, and simply 12V DC powered - which can run directly off a single 10W Eco-worthy Solar Panel, all done without batteries! I’ll show you how wire these pumps in 2 parallel tracks, and then in series of 2 – since the solar panel’s voltage is about 18V. With this “2 in series” setup, they will only be provided with about 9V each, and we’ll learn if this is sufficient to drive these little pumps, in the heat of the day – especially when the summer sun is bearing down from overhead.
