A different face, a different form, but despite everything, it's still her. Tomorrow is Shion's graduation live. Like Aqua before her, she's been in Hololive since Gen 2, so almost the beginning. I even heard she was scouted as opposed to auditioning as well. Sucks to see her go but she got to have her last big hurrah during Fes and she's been having a ton of fun in the HoloRust stuff until the very end. Aside from the whole disagreement with management thing, I've heard she also has bad sleeping problems and I don't mean your typical bad sleep schedule, but like constant insomnia and nightmares type stuff. That's kind of why she was always on and off, streaming for a month or two before going into hibernation and coming back again l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶G̶u̶r̶a̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶'̶s̶ ̶a̶l̶s̶o̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶v̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶s̶o̶o̶n̶.̶ Sorry, I can't really glaze her as much as I had with other graduates since I haven't watched much of her compared to the others who've left. She's just always been the garlic kusogaki witch but I still really appreciated her presence whenever I'd catch a clip or stream or collab of hers. One thing I can share is that I had an friend who's oshi was Shion. I have not seen him in a while so I don't know his feelings on the matter let alone if he's still in the fandom. Also here's the first time I have a non Hololive vtuber be featured in a cover being Yuki Sakuna, who is what Aqua reincarnated as. And she's doing pretty well for herself since she already has over 1 million subs. This cover is kind of like a continuation of Aqua's goodbye cover, so I reused the Mario 64 courtyard as the BG. Also kind of fits with the original context of the song since in Bygone Purpose, it's Hypno mourning over the loss of his trainer who jumped off a bridge and drowned. Aqua jumped into the fountain to reincarnate and now it's Shion's turn. At first, she's distraught both over losing Aqua and having to say goodbye to Subaru, Choco, and Ayame, but she's reassured and comforted by Sakuna, her friend Aqua after reincarnating. Imagine in the near future, when and if Shion reincarnates as an indie, if her and Sakuna collabed again like the good old days.
