My this years haunt is all about mining (specific mining in the "Ruhegebiet" in Germany. This is an area, in the whole German coal mining industry was located. The owner "Siegmund Edelhard" was very stingy and therefore forced his workers to mine coal day and night. So he locked them in the shafts and gave him little food. At some point the expression became quiet. The "Stollen 13" (mine shaft 13) collapsed and that was the last thing anyone heard. Today rich businessmen have bought the mine to offer adventure tours there. The old elevator that you use to enter the mine (you're supposed to enter shaft 10) crashes and you end up in the wrong shaft. There you find the workers left behind, some of whom have already turned into monsters and things continue to happen that shouldn't happen.
