Video opens M15 and F23 mating/bonding (mating outside of their fertile window, may do so year round). F23 goes to the nest to feed E26, and M15 leaves. An intruder flies in, hovers through the E upper branches looking for a landing spot, then lands on the inner limb. E26 sees the intruder first, stands with wings held away from his/her body, and that alerts F23 to the intruder. F23 goes into defensive postures, issues vocals warnings at the intruder, and protects E26/egg #2. The intruder remains on the inner limb for approximately thirty seconds (using Cam3 clock). The intruder flies off heading NW as M15 is flying in from the W. There is not a good enough view of the intruder to properly age it. Time stamps below, if interested. Here is the link to elfruler's website, "EAGLET DAILY PHOTOS AND MILESTONES". Scroll down to Week 5 for what to watch for with E26's development in the week ahead. Make sure to save the link so you can follow along with each week's expected development and milestones. Thank you, elfruler, for sharing your work with all of us!
