The Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP) was delighted to host its 8th Awards Presentation and Dinner on 22 September 2023. Gracing our gala dinner was our esteemed Guest of Honour, Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development. Our Malaysia and Hong Kong counterparts from the Malaysian Institute of Planners, The Hong Kong Institute of Planners, and The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors were also in attendance, enjoying an evening of good food, insightful projects, and lively networking among the more than 200 distinguished guests. A fireside chat moderated by SIP Vice President Nina Yang provided additional food for thought, with Mr Paul Farmer, former CEO of the American Planners Association, and Professor Tim Stonor, founder of Space Syntax, sharing their thoughts on key highlights from the award-winning projects. A big congratulations once again to our illustrious winners across the 11 categories, and our Planner of the Year, Ms Joyce Ng! SIP would once again like to acknowledge the immense time and effort spent by our 25 judges in evaluating the 82 project submissions and 12 young planner nominees. The full list of our award winners can be viewed here: https://lnkd.in/gRttDiy6. We hope our guests had a wonderful evening celebrating the remarkable achievements of the urban planning profession, and we look forward to the next iteration in 2025!
