The continuous curvilinear lenticulerrhexis (CCL) technique is a new technique that separates and extracts the lenticule during the SMILE procedure. If the femtosecond laser scans perfectly (no existence of an opaque bubble layer or “black” spots), only the margin of the lenticule near the small incision should be separated and then the lenticule could be extracted smoothly. The patient had 20/20 UDVA at 1 day postoperatively and had 20/16 UDVA at 1month postoperatively.
