Located in Mexico, in Baja-California, Comonduis one of the 120 oases scattered along this vast1,200 km long desert. It only rains here for a few days each year. Yet, in Comondu, there are natural water sources and it is these sources that allowed the first Californians, who came from Europe, to conquer this desert region of America. And to bring about this miracle: growing grape vines in the dessert. Researchers are fascinated by this Eldorado where water is transformed into wine. At a time when temperatures on our planet are continually increasing, oases could be a great source of inspiration.
