Also known as "The Golden Route", it includes two of the most breathtaking roads in Northern Europe. 'The Eagle Road' , a zig-zaged road up the steep valley sides of Geirangerfjord with a number of breathtaking view points overlooking the valley and the world famous 'Trollstigen', with its hairpin turns down towards Åndalsnes. A ferry made us cross Norddalsfjord from Eidsdal till Linge. The road between Geiranger and Trollstigen is also known as 'Norwegian Scenic Route.' Norwegian Scenic Routes are selected roads that run through landscapes with unique natural qualities, along coasts and fjords, mountains and waterfalls.
