PPSh41 (full-auto)

The PPSh-41, chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, was designed by Georgy Shpagin and its the Russian answer to the Thompson, with a faster rate of fire (1250rpm versus the Thomson's 700-800rpm). It is a very controllable, fun firearm to shoot with and at the end, not so chubby. With a full drum magazine it weights around 5.5kg (12 pounds). The box magazine can fit 35 rounds, but the drum can fit up to 71 rounds. When the Germans captured a large number of the PPSh-41, they converted it to use the standard German SMG cartridge - 9x19mm and named it the "MP41". Unconverted ones, known as the "MP717", were supplied with the almost identical 7.63x25mm Mauser ammo and put in use. The Soviets produced more than 5 million Shpagins by the end of the second World War.
