Outwardly, he appeared to be in good health, never drinking to excess or using illegal drugs. Instead, he seemed to be always pursuing a busy fitness regime, eating well and practising meditation. Behind the scenes, however, Garry was an obsessive perfectionist and workaholic and suffered intense stress in both his business and personal life. He also battled with serious long-term health conditions resulting in major surgeries and the removal of internal organs, making his medical history complicated.
