It’s been a number of years since my father was murdered on a business trip to India. It’s now time for me to move forward and support others. Tuesday 6th February marked the launch of my business TLC (The Lion’s Club) and I was overwhelmed by the number of people who showed their support from all around the world. www.thelionsclub.co.uk/ TLC is on a mission to become the world’s go to community for inspiring individuals ‘Lions’ who will be sharing their stories, battles and triumphs with companies and organisations. Stories from the heart supported by powerful music. We then provide aftercare in the form of an online community so the discussion and inspiration can continue long after our Lions have finished talking. Our Lions include one of the UK’s first female boxers Cathy Brown, board member of Mental Health UK and Alzheimer’s UK - Dr Kamel Hothi OBE as well as BAFTA award winning Hassan Akkad, a Syrian refugee who fled his country in 2015. Hassan filmed his journey to the UK from Syria before claiming asylum.
