This day Railfanning I decided I’d stop by at BNSF’s Mobest yard to see what was sitting at or by the roundhouse and maybe get lucky in getting one of the BN untis, and turns out, I got all of them. Before I mention the stuff I got Railfanning, this was during my Arizona and Nevada trip so for you guys, I did some Railfanning. Alright back to the original, so when I arrived at the yard, I immediately noticed two BN units sitting at the roundhouse all finished with the local jobs. The first one I saw was BNSF ex-BN (BN Paint) SD40-2 1968 in the “stripes” paint. And beside 1968 was BNSF ex-BN (BN Paint) SD40-2 1707 also in the “stripes” sitting inside the actual roundhouse. Coupled to 1968 was BNSF ex-ATSF (BNSF Paint) GP60 199. Beside 1968 and 199 was a set of three locomotives, BNSF C44-9W 709 in the “BNSF Warbonnet” paint coupled to two BNSF ES44’s (or gevos). And through an opening, I saw BNSF ex-ATSF (ATSF Warbonnet paint) C44-9W 699 coupled to a BNSF H2 C44-9W. I forgot to show the photo about 699 in this video but it is in one of my community posts, so if your interested in that, take a look and find it the community post that shows 3 BN locomotives and 2 ATSF locomotives with the last one being the ATSF 699. Moving on, I spotted BNSF ex-BN (BN Paint) in the “Whiteface” paint SD40-2 1686 coupled to BNSF 26?? on a tied down local manifest train. And if any of you know what BNSF locomotive was coupled to 1686 on 7/17/23 please let me know because I would like to find out about it. So anyway, after I saw all that by the roundhouse, the BNSF workers, or crew, let me get around the yard to take a closer look at BN 1707 and BNSF ex-ATSF (ATSF Yellowbonnet Paint) GP38-2 2773. And since I had my 75mm-300mm lens, I was able to get a close up photo of 2773 as well as 1686. And as I was about to leave, a BNSF local oil train backed into the oil yard with BNSF ex-BN (BNSF Paint) SD40-2 1918 shoving the whole consist. I hope you enjoyed the video and till then, I’ll see you guys down the line!! 😃⭐️
