A walkthrough of my backyard Sauna since some of you fine folks have asked. 🔥 Here are some things I wish I knew before purchasing it. #1 - Barrell Saunas leak. For this reason, I made a custom steel roof. #2 - Manufactures don’t seem to think vents are important. I had a air quality monitor for the first few uses and it was horrible. So I put in 3x vents. #3 - All the hot air sits on the ceiling. So whenever you see someone boast online about “Getting their sauna to 220f+ ”… I call bs. I have a Dewalt fan that not only circulates fresh air into the sauna but ensures that the hot air doesn’t just sit up high. #4 - I’m glad as hell that I bought a over size electric heater with Wifi. The thermal mass of the rocks gives great flexibility and a comfortable heat so that you can stay in longer. #5 - Wear a surfers towel. You will never have to worry about sweat stains again.
