In the last few episodes Matt has built new floors, and new inner door rocker panels. Those two major steps really helped strengthen up the body, but the b pillars still need some support to prevent flex. The wood is in really nice shape, but a 3 window door is very heavy and one of the 3 things was removed during the chop. Matt’s solution is to build a rear hoop that will wrap around the back of the car, and will help support the trunk hinges. The rear bar will also have two uprights that will weld to the rear floor. This whole rear setup will really eliminate any of the b pillar flex and help strengthen the body overall!!!
