Intended Audience: Primary Description: Mom is doing eight different activities in this video. 1. Mazbeen signs a topic (verb using eyebrows raised, with head nodding slightly). 2. She then signs an activity (neutral face) to act out a verb (suffix: -ing denoting material used for or associated with that verb). 3. She signs the verb while indicating a facial expression denoting the mood/style of the person doing the action. To establish a topic, a signer must sign the topic with raised eyebrows and nod their head slightly. A short pause confirms that the child has understood the topic. Then the signer proceeds to sign the verb with an emphasis on expression that will often include a slight exaggeration of arm movement that can denote several aspects such as mood, frequency, location, etc.
