Join ICRA and a distinguished panel of art lawyers from the ALA to discuss these and more key questions: How are catalogue raisonnés used in the art market for legal transactions and litigations? What if there are discrepancies between experts, or between catalogue raisonné and the heirs/foundation/owners of an artist's intellectual property? What if the expert changes? Is the catalogue raisonné a record of fact or opinion? Can it be objective? From an auction house perspective, is the fact that a work is in the catalogue raisonné or not the determining factor in deciding whether to offer a work for sale?
