Check out @Johnny2Cozy and support my patreon! / johnny2cellos Todd Chavez is widely seen as the “comic relief” character in BoJack Horseman, typically sporting incredibly silly misadventure sideplots, bringing levity to the often heavy nature of BoJack’s biggest stories. But despite this being his primary role, through his relationships, Todd goes on one of the most substantial stories of self discovery in the show. In fact, while we learn a lot about characters like BoJack and Princess Carolyn through their dating life, I’d argue that Todd learns far more about himself through his dating life. And his journey is one that I’ve found that many fans are incredibly appreciative of, as it’s not often that there’s such overt asexual representation on television. So, from Emily to Maude, let’s take a deep dive into the dating life and subsequent journey of self discovery of the incomparable Todd Chavez.
