Dr Nick Lawrence talks about new employment opportunities that can reconcile new jobs with sustainable energy. He envisions a world where the conception of energy and commodity is different, so that the core philosophy we live to will be key in helping fighting climate change. Dr Nick Lawrence is an associate professor at the University of Warwick, whose research and teaching interests include American literature and culture from the nineteenth century to the present, especially within a world-ecological frame; Hawthorne and Whitman; Marxism, the Frankfurt School and critical media theory; modernism/modernity, world-literature and the Anthropocene; and contemporary avant-garde poetry and poetics.
