The ride was a blend of vibrant cityscapes and breathtaking ocean views as we cruised along the scenic Galle Road (A2), hugging the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The roughly 2.5 to 3-hour journey was a deep dive into Sri Lankan life—colorful roadside stalls, swaying coconut palms, and the hum of local conversations. Despite the occasional bumps and heat, the charm of this journey lay in its authenticity. No frills, just pure island vibes. As we approached Galle, the landscape shifted—colonial buildings, red-tiled roofs, and the mighty ramparts of Galle Fort welcomed us.
