This is "Turtles" Candy without the sugar, and without the dairy!! Feel free to sub our coconut sugar based caramel sauce if you don't want to use allulose: • Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce from Canned Coc... Printable recipe can be found on our blog here: https://www.mindfulbakehouse.com/post... Makes: 12 Ingredients: 1/2 cup allulose* (see note below) 6 tbsp coconut milk, full fat (from a can) 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 cup pecans (or sub another nut you like) 1 cup chocolate chips (we used allulose-sweetened to keep these sugar-free) optional: flakey sea salt Steps: 1) Add the allulose to a dry pan. Heat on low, while stirring, until it starts to melt. Cook until the allulose turns a golden colour** (see note below). 2) Carefully add the coconut milk and vanilla, and stir until combined. 3) Add your nuts and stir in. 4) Scoop your mixture into small piles on a parchment lined baking tray. Work fast as your caramel will start to harden - if it gets too hard to work with you can gently reheat the mixture so it's easier to work with. 5) Pop the tray into the fridge/freezer for 10 minutes 6) Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 30 second bursts. 7) Dip your clusters in the melted chocolate. We find forks work best here to allow the extra chocolate to drain off 8) Optional: top with flakey sea salt 9) Pop the tray back in the fridge/freezer for 10-20 minutes until set. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. *I got our Allulose from iHerb: https://ca.iherb.com/pr/wholesome-swe... (not an ad) **NOTE: in our video we do take the caramel too far resulting in an amazing crunchy candy (more like a Crispy Crunch), so you can totally do that too, or stop when the allulose is a light golden colour for a more gooey Turtle candy. ==================================== ABOUT: We're pretty new to YouTube and still trying to find our place - so please be kind, and let us know what you'd like to see more of!!! 4+ years ago I left my career in corporate pharma to open a gluten-free dairy-free paleo bakery to help others with autoimmune conditions & food restrictions.
