2012 Nissan Rogue 2 5 S CVT Fluid Drain & Refill. In this video I show you how to drain and refill your CVT Fluid on a 2012 Nissan Rogue S with the 2.5L engine. This Rogue has 52,934 miles on the vehicle. A month prior to doing this drain and refill I dropped the entire transmission pan to clean and inspected it. I also cleaned the magnets in the pan and verified the filter was clear and still in good condition. The reason for the second drain and refill was to help remove even more old fluid that may not have drained on the first change that resided inside the torque converter and thought out the different passages inside the transmission. I used the Castrol CVT Smooth Drive Technology fluid suitable for the Nissan NS-2. If you are concerned about damaging your CVT of voiding any Warranties, then stick with the Nissan brand NS-2 fluid. I have not had any issues using the Castrol CVT fluid in any of my Nissan's that utilize the CVT transmission.
