Jay Manchand is a British artist with both a Bachelors & Masters Degree in Fine Art and works predominantly in traditional oil & some digital. He has produced official artwork for Lucasfilm & Acme Archives, SWAU, designed shirts for the popular clothing brand RSVLTS, & original art commissioned by Prime Video for The Rings of Power. He has also worked for several licensed Trading Card companies for the past 8 years, including Topps, Topps Digital, Rittenhouse Archives, Cryptozoic & Upper Deck - working on properties such as Star Wars, Game of Thrones & House of the Dragon, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, Aliens & more. As a Star Wars fan since he was a young lad, he could often be found pausing Return of the Jedi, especially the scenes in Jabba’s Palace, drawing and learning about the background aliens - which were his favourite aspect of the Star Wars universe. He’s fortunate enough to be living his childhood dream and they continue to inspire him as he is often painting those ‘blink and you’ll miss’ characters on Topps cards.
