We hiked Taylor Creek Trailhead in Kolob Canyons at Zion National Park, and it might officially be my favorite hike in Zion — aside from Emerald Pools. This trail is already stunning with its red rock canyon walls and countless creek crossings, but with snow covering the upper half of the trail, it felt completely transformed. About halfway in, the path becomes fully snow-covered. Snow shoes or traction chains are highly recommended. We made it a little over two-thirds of the way before turning around — a steep staircase section was simply too icy and slippery to safely continue. The weather was perfect. Crisp air, quiet trails, flowing water, and snow layered against sandstone cliffs — it doesn’t get better than this. If you’re planning to hike Taylor Creek in winter, prepare for multiple creek crossings, changing trail conditions, and breathtaking views the entire way. 📍 Taylor Creek Trailhead 📍 Kolob Canyons 📍 Zion National Park, Utah Zion winter hiking | Taylor Creek snow conditions | Kolob Canyons trail guide | Best hikes in Zion National Park | Zion National Park winter travel
