Today I’m sharing my homemade Gajar Ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) – a rich, traditional Indian dessert made with fresh carrots, milk, khoya, ghee, and dry fruits. This slow-cooked halwa is perfect for festivals, weddings, winters, and special occasions. I used simple ingredients and the traditional method to get a creamy, melt-in-mouth texture. If you like this recipe, don’t forget to Like, Share, and Subscribe for more delicious homemade recipes. ⸻ 🧾 Ingredients • Carrots – 1 kg (chopped or grated) • Milk – 1 liter (for cooking) + ½ liter (as you mentioned) • Sugar – 250 grams • Khoya (Mawa) – 200 grams • Ghee – 150 grams • Dry fruits (cashew, almond, raisin, pistachio) – as needed • Cardamom powder – ½ to 1 teaspoon ⸻ 👩🍳 Recipe Method 1. Wash, peel, and chop the carrots. 2. Add carrots and 1 liter milk in a pressure cooker and cook until soft. 3. Smash or mash the cooked carrots well. 4. Transfer to a pan and cook on medium flame until thick. 5. Add sugar and khoya. Mix well. 6. Cook again for about 10 minutes until thick and glossy. 7. Heat ghee, add dry fruits, and fry lightly. 8. Add this seasoning to the halwa. 9. Add cardamom powder and mix well. 10.
