Not sand — red clay, cacti, thorns. The sun burned so hard the horizon wavered. After three days without water, I saw smoke. A small fire between rocks. A young woman sat there, holding a revolver. Her white dress was torn, stained with dust and blood — not hers. A tired horse stood nearby. “Stop. Who are you?” “A traveler. Looking for water.” She lowered the gun. “No water. If you’re not with them — sit.” Her name was Sarah. She spoke quietly. 🌵 Scene I: The Runaway 00:00 — Dust and Blood Five years ago, Iron Jack tried to buy her father’s ranch. He refused. A week later, her father was found dead. The sheriff called it an accident. A year later, Jack demanded marriage. Refusal meant death for everyone she loved. The wedding was set for yesterday. 01:37 — The Bride’s Escape The night before, she searched Jack’s house and found a map — gold caches, records, names of victims. Her father was on the list. She stole the map and fled. Two men caught her at dawn. She killed one. The other ran. Now they were hunting her. “I’ll take the gold,” she said. “Return it. Prove my father was right.” “You’re alone.” “I know.” “I’ll help.” She nodded. “Then we ride.” 🌵 Scene II: The Chase 05:00 — Riders on Our Trail By evening, we heard horses. Jack was close. 10:00 — Through the Canyon I led us into a narrow canyon. Bullets sparked off stone. Sarah shot one rider down. 15:16 — Ambush at Red Rocks 17:48 — Ambush at Red Rocks II We took cover among the rocks. Six men came through. The firefight was fast. I killed two. Sarah one. The rest pulled back. 20:28 — Dust Settles “The fort is three hours away,” she said. “If we’re late — they find us.” 🌵 Scene III: The Fort and the Gold 23:18 — The Abandoned Fort At sunset we reached the ruins. Under the arsenal floor — two chests of gold, plus a pistol and ammunition. 27:11— Loading the Gold We took one chest. The horses couldn’t carry more. 32:01 — They Found Us Jack arrived with five men. Surrounded us. “You disappointed me,” he told Sarah. “You killed my father.” “You can’t prove it.” She pointed at the chest. “This proves it.” Jack looked at me. “Kill him.” 🌵 Scene IV: The Final Shootout 37:09 — Shootout at Sunset We dove for cover. Shots everywhere. I dropped two. Sarah wounded another. 40:43 — Blood and Dust I took a bullet across the shoulder. Not fatal. “Burn it,” Jack shouted. 44:21 — Fire and Iron Flames swallowed the fort. Sarah ran for the horses. I covered her. Only Jack remained. 48:27 — Face to Face Fire and smoke. He drew. I was faster — shot his hand. Sarah stepped behind him. “This is for my father.” She fired. 🌵 Scene V: The Return 51:39 — The Long Road Home We returned the gold to those Jack robbed. Farmers. Widows. The forgotten. 56:15 — Home Again At her father’s ranch, she stood at the gate. “Stay,” she said. “This is your life.” “Then come back.” “Maybe.” She tossed me the torn veil. “So you remember.” I rode west. She stayed — free. ☝️ The West doesn’t forgive the weak, but it respects the just. I don’t know if I am just. But she is.
