The problem with the old covenant is that it is all veiled. 3. Paul is bold (because Gods power backs him) and preaches the new covenant with an unveiled face. 4. The old covenant was floored, and God nullified/abolished it. 5. God's glory is what changes us! 6. God sent Jesus to do what the law could not do. Jesus provides the divine assistance we need to obey the law. 7. Today, the veil is the unwillingness to submit to Jesus and let Him rule over our lives. 8. In both cases, the veil prevents us from seeing Gods glory. 9. Let the veil be lifted so Jesus can change you. The thing that lifts the veil is a radical surrender to Jesus! 10. A life beholding God's glory is: 1. A life intentionally dedicated to Jesus. 2. Being a disciple of Jesus. 3. The cross: you are not king of your life; Jesus is. 4. The cost: no half-hearted measures. 5. Seek the kingdom of God first. 6. The church is not an (optional) add-on to Christianity. When you become a Christian, you become part of the church, the body of Christ.
