Finally, GOOTY Diesel Loco Shed too started homing GE (Wabtec) locomotives; earlier only the GE Transportation's Roza and Gandhidham Maintenance Sheds in respective Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat homed these beautiful locomotives. In the video, Gooty homed WDG4G exhibits a grand chugging show !!! A BTPN Petroleum Tanker Train hauled by Indian Railways' latest addition to the diesel fleet: General Electric (GE) WDG4G 49451 of Gooty (GY) Diesel Loco Shed, SCR. Thus, 'GE Rail' was renamed as 'GE Transportation', which is now a subsidiary of Wabtec. These WDG4G diesel locomotives are also known as ES43ACmi. GE Transportation's ES43ACmi class is one of the finest locomotives in the world. They come under the umbrella of famous GE's Evolution Series (GeVo) locomotives. The ES43ACmi class is a freighter locomotive consisting a 4-stroke, V-12 cylinder, turbocharged GeVo engine which delivers 4500 hp. The first few locomotives were manufactured in the GE Transportation's Erie Plant, Pennsylvania, USA. Now, the production of these locomotives are taking place in the Diesel Locomotive Factory (DLF), Marhowra in Bihar which is a joint venture between Indian Railways and GE Transportation.
