Fairy-tale autumn ride on the Honda NC750X - Cheia Pass and Siriu Lake Romania 2021

Today we ride on together on two of the most interesting motorcycle roads in Romania: CHEIA PASS and SIRIU LAKE, each of them offers unique lanscapes and many twists and turns as you will see it in the video ! #nc750x, #hondanc750x, #motorcycletouring Also we made a short but very productive deviation of the road to see and admire the Red Mountain (Muntele Roșu) and Ciucaș Mountain passing through a tiny and new 4 Km road full of the autumn leaves. CHEIA PASS: This is a spectacular and amazing 115 Km road inside the mountains with many serpentines and a splendid view of Cheia Pass. Cheia pass, one of the most famous passes in Romania but not well-known to the foreigners offers you a lot when it comes to landscapes, RED MOUNTAIN (Muntele Roșu) The Red Mountain is located in The Ciucaș Mountains, at the border of Brașov and Prahova counties. The acces is done via DN1A National Road Ploiești – Cheia, from where the road will take you up to the Red Mountain (Muntele Roșu). In June, the Red Mountain, located in Ciucaș Massif, is invaded by passionate photographers. It is an unique are in Romania and blooming rhododendron offer a beautiful scenery which is not to be missed.This is in fact where the Red Mountain got its name. Fairytaile-like sceneries can be admired at every turn. The Rhododendron is celebrated in the Cheia village at the beggining of June during a festival devoted entirely to the wonderful flower. The road on SIRIU VALLEY: Lake Siriu is an artificial dam lake in Romania, on the Buzău River valley. Construction of the dam started in 1982, and the 42 MW Nehoiașu hydroelectric plant was opened in 1994. The dam is a 122 m high embankment dam with a clay core, the second largest embankment dam in Romania. ROAD DESCRIPTION: The road on Siriu Valley is one of the few roads that crosses the Carpathian Mountains from Transylvania to Muntenia and is one of the Carpathian passes with little traffic. After passing through Nehoiu town and 2 more villages, the Siriu dam apears in the background. The road starts climbing and after 2 hairpins we are at the Northern end on the dam.
