“Mumbai: Maximum City under Pressure” is a film by Urban-Think Tank (U-TT) created in the context of the 4th International Holcim Forum for Sustainable Construction held in Mumbai. The short film features keynote speakers and workshop leaders of the event: David Chipperfield (UK), Prasad Shetty (India), Pierre Bélanger (USA), Alfredo Brillembourg (Brazil), Sanjay Prakash (India), Mohsen Mostafavi (USA), Geeta Mehta (USA), Michael Sorkin (USA), Alejandro Aravena (Chile) and Jose Castillo (Mexico). “Mumbai: Maximum City under Pressure” examines the critical issues impacting on sustainable development in the megacity of Mumbai, and what can be learnt from the economically and socially vibrant villages of informal neighborhoods that make up the city. The film was produced by Alfredo Brillembourg and Hubert Klumpner of U-TT, a multi-disciplinary design practice dedicated to high-level research, design and films on a variety of subjects such as contemporary architecture and urbanism.
