Happy Valentines Day! My jazz remix inspired by Camila 2000 feels like such a special project to me. I’ve always been drawn to the rich textures of bossa nova and Brazilian music, and incorporating those elements into a jazz remix felt like the perfect way to pay tribute to a genre I deeply admire. The original score from the film is simply incredible—so emotional, so layered, and so evocative. It’s one of those soundtracks that stays with you, effortlessly capturing the mood and spirit of the story. I wanted to honor that brilliance while giving it a fresh twist. I’ve always loved Brazilian films from that time. They have such a unique way of blending stunning visuals with music that feels like it’s woven into the very fabric of the story. The scores often feel like characters themselves—full of warmth, intimacy, and a deep sense of place. The music in Camila 2000 is no exception, and it was a joy to work with such beautiful material. Opting for a jazz remix gave me the chance to highlight that timeless Brazilian aesthetic while adding my own creative voice to it.
