Step by step: 1. download "PC Dedicated Server" file from https://terraria.org/ 2. download PortMap from https://github.com/monkeydom/TCMPortM... 3. unzip both files, you should now have a folder from terraria and the PortMap application 4. go to the terraria folder by clicking the "Go" button on the Finder bar, holding down the option key, and clicking "Library" 5. go to "Application Support", then to "Terraria" 6. in the terraria server folder that you just unzipped, go into the "Mac" folder and drag the "Terraria Server" icon/app into the terraria folder under application support 7. right click on the "Terraria Server" icon and click "Show Package Contents", then "Contents", then "MacOS" 8. rename "TerrariaServer.bin.osx" to "TerrariaServer.bin.command" 9. go into terminal and type "chmod u+x " and drag the "TerrariaServer.bin.command" folder into the terminal, THEN hit enter (nothing will happen, that's normal) 10. double click on the "TerrariaServer.bin.command" folder, it will deny you 11. go to "Privacy & Security" in the System Settings 12. scroll down where it will have a notification that it had blocked the "TerrariaServer.bin.command" from opening, click the button that says "Open Anyway", enter your password 12. you will get a new prompt to open the file, after doing so it will deny you again and ask you to move the file to the trash, click cancel 13. go back to System Settings and click "Open Anyway" again 14. open "TerrariaServer.bin.command" one more time where it will ask you to move it to trash again or open, click open and the terminal will load the server and give you prompts to choose or make a new world 15. for PortMap, open the application 16. click the "+" at the bottom, type "7777" into the Local Port and the Desired Public Port fields, make sure the "TCP" box is checked, click "Add Mapping" 17. follow prompts in terminal to choose/create your world 18. when it asks to "automatically forward port?" select yes by typing y and enter 19. the server will start after finishing the prompts in the terminal 20. to join the server in Terraria, select "Multiplayer", then "Join via IP", select your character, then type in the IP address found on PortMap, when it asks you to enter the server port, type "7777" 21. to stop the server, simply type "exit" and hit enter in the terminal. Hopefully this was helpful, let me know if you run into any issues.
