I Fell In A Hole As We Explored Downtown Southport In A DOWNPOUR

Spent a random rainy day exploring the historic coastal town of Southport, North Carolina. We visited several historic spots including Fort Johnston, checked out the location of the old Quarantine House site sitting out in the middle of the Intracoastal Waterway, and stopped by the oldest house in Southport. Even with the rain, the views of the Intracoastal were incredible. To finish the day, we stopped inside a local favorite, Southport Market, to browse around and warm up a bit. It turned into one of those unplanned days where you just walk around, explore some history, enjoy the waterfront… and at one point I even managed to fall straight into a hole.
