Each state manifesting a different expression of devotion towards Him. Some find themselves in a state of complete awe and reverence. Others are filled with an intense love and eagerness, whilst others feel in their hearts an overwhelming feeling of comfort, contentment and certainty. These examples highlight the main message of the aphorism: any form of righteousness coming from the servant is ultimately due to the sublime grace of Allah Most High.
