May 21, 2022. After an hour break to eat lunch, it is time to head toward Cropsey Pond for the evening. First on the agenda is a tour of Hunters' Vly, an old pond that is now a open meadow with a couple ponds, one remnant one near the old ruptured dam and a newer one constructed by a beaver in the middle of the meadow just a few years ago. The tour is followed by a minute bushwhack uphill through a conifer forest, which eventually transitions to a more hardwood one. This video is the eleventh part of the second day of my trip birding in the southeastern Pepperbox Wilderness for the Birdathon in 2022. If you enjoy this video, please click the like button and/or subscribe so you do not miss any of my newest hiking and/or bushwhacking adventures in the Pepperbox Wilderness and beyond. Note: This video is in a raw form, that is, it has only been lightly edited, annotated and/or altered. The footage remains mostly as I experienced it while bushwhacking through the Adirondack Park backcountry, just as nature intended it. Be forewarned, loud noises will arise from branches, hands, hiking poles, etc. hitting the camera.
