www.gceurope.com everStick from GC are glass fibre reinforcement products and include everStickC&B, everStickPOST, everStickPERIO, everStickNET and everStickORTHO. It’s recommended to use these products with StickRESIN and their handy instruments StickSTEPPER and StickCARRIER. Proper bonding between the glass fibres and composite is the key factor for a successful treatment. Only everStick products have a unique, patented interpenetrating polymer network structure (IPN), with PMMA and Bis-GMA. StickTech (which is now part of the GC group) has conducted extensive research for more than 10 years and the IPN feature with clinically proven benefits only exists in everStick. Clinically this leads to superior bonding, enabling reliable surface retained applications and perfect handling properties. The significance of the IPN structure is that surfaces can be reactivated even after the final polymerisation. Reactivation is crucial for superior bonding, when laboratory-manufactured restorations are cemented to teeth or fibre reinforced composite (FRC) devices are remodelled or repaired. The IPN structure makes the everStick products fundamentally different from any other fibre or composite materials available. everStick glass fibre reinforcements have been developed to provide cost-effective and fast treatment solutions in dentistry. everStick fibre reinforcements are made of silanated glass fibres in thermoplastic polymer (PMMA) and light curing resin matrix (Bis-GMA). everStick products address the advantages of minimally invasive dentistry where the patient´s own healthy tooth tissue is saved for as long as clinically possible. It is a reversible treatment so that other options remain available, should the patient ever need them in the future. Glass fibre reinforcements can be used in various indications, including direct fibre reinforced composite bridges, surface-retained or inlay and onlay bridges, temporary bridges, splinting of traumatized or periodontally affected teeth, orthodontic retention or contention or individually formed root canal post and core structures: the different everStick products mentioned above are optimised to have the best properties for each of these indications.
