Tonight's hangout begins with a 40-minute presentation / conversation about what goes into putting a value on meteorites. I put together a PowerPoint presentation that I call “The Five S’s of Meteorite Valuation”. There is a lively discussion among the participants. We were honored to have one of my personal friends, Dustin Dickens, join us. He is the owner of Top Meteorite www.topmeteorite.com, a respected meteorite hunter, and a great human. Martin Lollar talks about his new main mass (nicknamed “The Beast”) that he and I are partnering on to get his first meteorite classified. My 8.4kg NWA 11903 H6 Chondrite arrived today and gets revealed. I purchased it directly from the main mass holder: Dustin Dickens (maybe you’ve heard of him).
