Psalm 32: 1-5 Psalm 32 is the first of David’s great psalms asking God for forgiveness of his sins. Verse 5 tells us that David acknowledged his sin before God. I have found that we are usually better at acknowledging the sins of others; but to find true peace, we must acknowledge our sins before God. Blessed is the man who is forgiven of God. Blessed is the man who is forgiven by his friends and family. Blessed is the man who forgives himself. And blessed is the man who forgives others. In my travels across the country I have observed that one of Satan’s most deceptive and deadly snares is the trap of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness has entangled countless Christians, severed relationships and devastated the body of Christ. The trap of unforgiveness is something each of us has encountered. This lure is attractive because we all tend to want to get even with people who have offended us. Why? Because those who are capable of hurting us the most are the people closest to us.
