Indian Army's exercise Agni Varsha in Pokhran, Rajasthan

Exercise Agni Varsha was conducted by the Indian Army’s Southern Command at Pokhran Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan on 24 Feb 2026, It showcases operational preparedness and integrated combat power in the desert sector. The exercise validated coordinated employment of combined arms, precision long-range fires and network-enabled command and control in a realistic operational environment. Foreign defence journalists from 25 countries witnessed the exercise, gaining first-hand insight into the speed, accuracy and synchronisation achieved by the Indian Army’s Combined Arms formations in the Thar Desert.
