I visited the Falkland Islands, one of the Most Remote & difficult to reach British overseas territories. And with only 3,662 residents living on a landmass roughly the size of Connecticut, it'd be the Emptiest Country in the World with a population density of 0.75 people per square mile. ► PART 2: • Life In The Falkland Islands’ Most Remote ... ► Roxy's Tour Company: https://www.lupin.tours/ ► Jason's Homestay Email: [email protected] In the 1st of a 2 video series from my recent trip to the Falklands. I explore Stanley, the Southernmost Capital City in the World, which, with a population around 3,000 wouldn't be considered more than a small town in most countries. But here, it is the BUSTLING metropolis and only real town. There is also only 1 flight per week to the islands, so while I was effectively "trapped" here, it also meant I had plenty of time to discover their beauty as well as chat with many Falkland Islanders to learn about the complex history of the most unique and fascinating place I have ever visited. Why does anyone live on these isolated, barren, windswept islands next to Antarctica? Why was the Falkland War of 1982 fought over them? Why are there over 1 million penguins? And what is life really like for the 3,000 People of mostly British Descent who choose to live in the literal middle of nowhere despite the extreme isolation and dreary weather?
