We crossed into Zimbabwe through a quiet little border post and rolled straight into the wilds of Hwange — rough roads, tall grass, and plenty of room for things to go a bit sideways. From Robins Camp to Kennedy 1, this trip gave us cheetahs in the open, elephants in the mud, and lions… almost hunting. Some stories came together perfectly. Others? Not so much. But that’s the adventure. Not every hunt successful, not every road leads somewhere, and sometimes the ending includes a 4-hour return trip for a toiletry bag.
